After 14 years as Ratcatcher Robert I'm retiring the act, and offering the famous "Ratapult" for SALE! Years of refinement have made this hand-made rolling trebuchet a finely-tuned and hilarious piece of medieval artillery. The frame stands about 6 feet tall. The throwing arm is long and using about 100lbs of ballast will hurl a 2.5lb melon or pumpkin to incredible heights (I haven't tested it for LONG range -- I prefer a high, lingering trajectory). The machine is on wheels so it both rolls into place and "rocks" to better utilize the power of the falling hinged ballast bucket. Hand-forged steel trigger assembly. The machine will fit into the bed of a standard full-size pickup truck. I'm asking $2,000 plus any shipping if you can't come pick it up. For another $1,000 I'll throw in the costume, script and support elements for the Ratcatcher Robert show. Serious inquiries only, please. Contact me through: firstname.lastname@example.org.
